Intel Xe DG1 (iDG1LP) Mobile

Intel Xe DG1

The Intel Xe DG1 (Low Power - LP) or iDG1LPDEV (as leaked in the driver entry) is a dedicated mobile mid-range graphics card based on the Gen 12 architecture (similar to the integrated graphics of the Tiger Lake processors). It uses dedicated GDDR6 graphics memory and the performance should be similar to an older GeForce GTX 1050 GPU. The TDP should be around 25 Watt and therefore also suited for smaller laptops.

A special feature should be the possibility to share and distribute the power with the processor to reach a more balanced setup and therefore e.g. a better gaming performance. Newer rumors also hint to a "dual graphics" kind of combination of the integrated GPU of the Tiger Lake SoCs and the Xe DG1 (both with 96 cores).

At CES 2020, Intel previewed the DG1 with Destiny 2 and confirmed the name. The performance bracket of the 1050 also fits to the demo as the GTX 1050 runs Destiny 2 in our benchmarks at 40 fps in 1080p and maximum settings.

Beware, the information above are still based on rumors and subject to change till launch.
