NVIDIA Quadro P520
The Nvidia Quadro P520 is an entry-level mobile workstation graphics card for laptops. It uses a Pascal chip with a 64 Bit memory bus and is most likely based on the consumer GeForce MX150 (384 shaders, 2 GB 64-Bit GDDR5) . The clock rates of the professional versions are a bit lower. Compared to the older Quadro P500, the P520 now offers more shaders (+128) at a slightly reduced clock speed. According to Nvidia the theoretical performance increases by 60% from 0.75 to 1.2 TFLOPS and is therefore near the 1.3 TFLOPs of the old Quadro P600 (same 384 shaders but higher clocked and 128 Bit memory bus).
The Quadro GPUs offer certified drivers, which are optimized for stability and performance in professional applications (CAD, DCC, medical, prospection, and visualizing applications). The performance in these areas is therefore much better compared to corresponding consumer GPUs.
