Apple M5 GPU

The Apple M5 10-Core GPU is an integrated graphics card in the Apple M5 SoC (9- and 10-Core), which was developed by Apple. It offers 10 cores and support for Core ML, Metal Performance Shader and Metal 4. A novelty are the Neural Accelerators in the GPU (tensor cores).

Apple states that the M5 GPU can achieve up to 30% higher performance compared to the M4 GPU. The integrated ray tracing engine has been further improved (now 3rd generation) and, according to Apple, should offer up to 45% higher performance.

The M5 chip is manufactured in the modern N3P process at TSMC (3nm).
