ARM Mali-G715 MP7

ARM Mali-G715 MP7

The ARM Mali-G715 MP7 is one of the high-end graphics card and is used in this form for the first time in the smartphones of the Google Pixel 8 series in interaction with the Google Tensor G3

The ARM Mali-G715 is based on the fourth generation Valhall architecture and shows improvements in the areas of efficiency and machine learning (ML) in particular. It also masters new features such as variable rate shading, matrix multiply instructions and an improved execution engine.

The performance positions the G715MP7 between the Adreno 725 (Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2) and Adreno 730 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1) in synthetic benchmarks (3DMark and GFXBench).

Unlike the Immortalis variants, which have at least 10 cores (e.g. Immortalis-G715 MP11), the ARM Mali-G715 MP7 does not support hardware-based ray tracing.

The G715MP7 in the Tensor G3 is manufactured in the current 4nm process at Samsung.
