Google Pixel 9 Pro: Protective case accentuates the brand new design of the Google flagship
The first render images of the Google Pixel 9 and the Pixel 9 Pro were recently published, showing the brand new design of the flagships, which is much more reminiscent of the Apple iPhone 15 than the Pixel 8.
Gizmochina has released the first images of a protective cover from Soonleader, which is intended for the Google Pixel 9 Pro. While it is unclear just how accurate the image of the smartphone in the case is, the images confirm the authenticity of earlier leaks. According to Gizmochina's source, who is said to be an industry insider, the images show the final design of the Pixel 9 Pro.
The biggest innovation in the design is the pill-shaped camera module, which no longer has a sloping edge. This allows protective cases to completely enclose the module and thus offer better protection in this area. The flat frame with its relatively hard edges also makes for correspondingly hard edges on the protective covers.
According to earlier leaks, the Google Pixel 9 Pro measures 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5 millimeters, making the device almost the same size but slightly thinner than the Pixel 8 Pro. The smartphone has three rear cameras, including a periscope telephoto camera, a temperature sensor and a punch-hole front camera. For the first time, the smaller and cheaper Pixel 9 will also have a periscope telephoto camera. So far, no further details on the features are known; the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro are expected to be launched in the fall of 2024.
