Google is rolling out its February 2024 update to the Pixel Watch. The new software will be made available globally with version number TWD9.240205.001 and follows a small feature drop in January. The software runs on Wear OS 4, though rumors suggest that Wear OS 5 could launch later this year.
The February Google Pixel Watch update is relatively minor, bringing the latest security patches for the wearable. At the time of writing, the company has not provided a detailed list of bug fixes. Google notes that this is a phased rollout, which should be completed in a week, with the first units already receiving the software. The update is available for the Google Pixel Watch (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi), the Google Pixel Watch (LTE), the Google Pixel Watch 2 (Bluetooth/Wi-Fi) and the Google Pixel Watch 2 (LTE).
If you own one of these wearables, you will be able to download the update by going to Settings > System > System updates. Several users have reported the need to tap the “Your watch is up to date” screen multiple times to trigger the download and installation. Full OTA images are also available on the Google for Developers site. A security patch has also arrived for the Pixel 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, 7 Pro, 7a, Tablet, Fold, 8, and 8 Pro devices.
