Lenovo’s US online store has an excellent deal for last year’s ThinkPad X13 Gen 4 AMD edition. Originally listed at $2,069, this model is now discounted for over 50% with a THINKSUPERDEAL2024 eCoupon that brings down the final price to $993.12 + free shipping.

Besides the solid build quality and the keyboard with integrated signature TrackPoint, the hardware specs offer great value for this price point, except maybe for the 13.3-inch IPS touchscreen that seems a bit outdated with only 1920 x 1200 resolution, 60 Hz refresh rate, 300 nit brightness and 100% sRGB color gamut. The webcam on top, however, is among the most advanced on the market right now, with 5 MP resolution, IR sensor, privacy shutter and dual-array mic.

Powering this configuration is AMD’s Ryzen 7 Pro 7840U with 8 Zen 4 cores and 16 threads boosting to 5.1 GHz. The APU also integrates a 12-core Radeon 780M GPU and an XDNA NPU for AI tasks. Even though it only comes with soldered LPDDR5x-6400 RAM, the 32 GB capacity is enough to eliminate the need for upgrades. On the storage side, Lenovo is providing a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 TLC SSD with Opal security features.

Port selection includes 2x USB4 + 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, an HDMI 2.1 video out and an audio jack. Wireless connectivity is offered through a Qualcomm Wi-Fi 6E + BT 5.1 card. For increased security, the power button integrates a fingerprint reader, as well. Since this is a business laptop, Lenovo ships it with Windows 11 Pro.

With the 41 Wh battery, the ultrabook weighs 2.51 lbs (1.14 kg) and its profile measures 0.63 inches (15.93 mm).
