Intel bares its teeth at Qualcomm over Snapdragon-powered PCs

Intel has suggested it views Qualcomm's x86 emulation technology as a serious threat and potentially a violation of its intellectual property rights. Whether Qualcomm's technology (which allows Snapdragon CPUs to run full Windows 10) actually does infringe on Intel's IP remains to be proved.

AMD launched all four models of its new high-performance AMD Ryzen 5 desktop processor today. They say it can deliver up to 87% more performance when comparing the AMD Ryzen 5 1600X to the Intel Core i5 7600K.

AMD may be expanding into the Chromebook market

An AMD board known as "Kahlee" has shown up in ChromeOS's Coreboot code. The device will be based on 2016's Stoney Ridge rather than AMD's new Ryzen architecture. The existence of an AMD powered Chromebook together with the release of Ryzen 7 and 5-series chips suggests that AMD is making an all-out effort to reestablish itself in the market.

Titan Xp now official, will also support Mac OS X

The new GPU is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR5X memory clocked at 11.4 Gbps, 3840 CUDA cores clocked at ~1.6 GHz, and boasts 12 TFLOPs of performance. Nvidia will also begin developing drivers for Mac OS X.
