Outperforms even the new Yoga 7 2-in-1 14. The Ryzen 7 8845HS is a gaming-level processor that has somehow found its way to a 14-inch budget convertible. Needless to say, performance is off the charts for the size category regardless of price.

Balances performance with weight. The OmniBook Ultra Flip 14 may be one of HP's lightest 14-inch convertibles, but it's far from being the slowest. Intel's new Lunar Lake CPU helps to strike a great balance between portability and performance.

Calculated business moves. The Dell Latitude 7450 2-in-1 delivers good performance with its Intel Core Ultra 7 165U vPro processor while offering a solid set of features tailored for business professionals on the go. Dell even includes a robust array of tools to keep IT admins happy. However, improvements over its predecessor are incremental and its competitors, particularly the new Lenovo ThinkPad lineup, present equally compelling options.

Intel Core Ultra 7 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 on one machine. The hybrid Windows-Android approach can effectively replace your existing laptop and tablet all at once. However, the 2-in-1 Lenovo machine isn't necessarily better than a standalone laptop and standalone tablet in terms of battery life and weight.

3K IPS display. Chuwi has released the new Hi10 Max, a low-cost tablet with an IPS screen, an Intel processor, and Windows 11 Home. For a total of US$319, the package also includes a stylus and an attachable backlit keyboard. However, you shouldn't have overly high expectations regarding performance and battery life.

Dell's first 10-inch fully-rugged tablet. The Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme is a modernized Windows tablet with multiple USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel 12th gen CPUs, great colors, and tons of connectivity options all in a 10-inch form factor.

For creators on the go. Asus' new ProArt PZ13 is a relatively robust convertible for creative users who also want to be able to do their work in adverse conditions. The new 8-core Snapdragon X Plus from Qualcomm powers the device, which ensures long runtimes, among other things. However, the same as on the other ProArt models, its OLED touchscreen is limited to 60 Hz.

Vapor chamber cooling on a Windows tablet. The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 gets its strongest competitor yet with the latest Latitude 7350 2-in-1. The Dell system has a lot going for it including the uncommon Core Ultra U7 CPU, but it's not quite the homerun we were expecting.

Powerful, premium and professional. The HP Elite 1000 family is lauded for its portability and auxiliary features that business users can appreciate. The latest Elite x360 1040 G11 continues the trend, but a bigger cooling solution probably wouldn't hurt to keep those core temperatures down.

A significantly better price-to-performance ratio. The base variant of the new Surface Pro 11 has gone with an IPS display and the supposedly slower Snapdragon X Plus processor. In practice, you don't notice the lower performance but some constraints remain due to the ARM version of Windows.

A wonderful keyboard but only 60 Hz OLED. With the ProArt PX13, Asus has a new 13.3-inch 2-in-1 with powerful hardware in its range. In addition to the brand new AMD Zen 5 mobile processors, it also comes with a GeForce 4070 laptop. However, the OLED touchscreen only offers a 60 Hz frequency which raises questions given the high asking price. Update: Photo/video editing benchmark results added

Core U, Core H, IPS, and OLED options. The Yoga 7 2-in-1 14 packs a lot of features for the price including a modern AI-ready processor. However, prices start to skyrocket if configuring with higher-end Core H and OLED options.

Previously available only on higher-end gaming laptops, mini-LED panels are starting to trickle down to more mainstream multimedia options including the Dell Inspiron series. This particular model is intriguing as it is one of the first 16-inch convertibles to offer a 2.5K mini-LED touchscreen.

No longer a performance pushover. The Inspiron 14 7435 2-in-1 was equipped with Zen 3 Ryzen-U processors and so this year's Inspiron 14 7445 2-in-1 refresh was expected to ship with Zen 4 Ryzen-U options. Instead, Dell has thrown us a curve ball with even faster Zen 4 Ryzen-HS options for larger performance gains.

Finally packing a punch and OLED. For a long time, LG's laptops have impressed with their lightweight design and excellent display but, when it comes to computing power, LG hasn't exactly blown us away. The Gram Pro 2-in-1 shows that LG can also make powerful laptops. Only the weight remains area in which the manufacturer continues to be economical.
