Exclusive | First NVIDIA Ampere mobile benchmarks: Up to 18% faster than Turing mobile, but don't expect Ampere desktop-class performance

We have obtained exclusive first synthetic benchmarks run on pre-sample gaming laptops powered by NVIDIA's new Ampere mobile GPUs, the RTX 3060 Mobile, RTX 3070 Mobile, and the RTX 3080 Mobile. These preliminary numbers show Ampere mobile offering anywhere between 7% to 18% performance improvements over their Turing predecessors. However, they do seem to lag behind their desktop versions considerably.

We have exclusively obtained a live picture and concept drawings of what appears to be an upcoming MSI laptop that will mostly likely be unveiled during the MSIology CES 2021 event on Jan 13. On first look, the laptop instantly resembles a "larger" GE66 Raider. Sporting a new Babylonian Dragon theme, this laptop, in all likelihood, will be powered by a Core i9-10980HK CPU and an RTX 3080 Mobile GPU.

Eve's Spectrum gaming monitor has generated a lot of buzz in the gaming community. The gaming monitor aims to bring high resolutions (up to 4K) and high refresh rates (up to 240 Hz) at a reasonable price. While the company has a spotty track record when it comes to final delivery, pre-production units show a lot of promise. Based on early models, the Spectrum could be one of the best gaming monitors in 2021...provided Eve fulfills existing and future orders.
