We have been testing an innumerable number of laptops since inception. During this process, one thing we've noticed from reader feedback and our own observations is that current choices impose some or the other limitation. So, with our years of collective testing experience into consideration, your favorite laptop review site has decided to take matters into its own hands.

Presenting, Project NotebookCheckMate Pro — the definitive solution to all your mobile computing needs.

Project NotebookCheckMate Pro (NBCMate Pro) is everything one would want in a laptop. It brings all the great ideals of democracy to the computing world. In fact, there's nothing like it on the market yet (literally and figuratively).

Let's start with the design. Diamond-cut edges give a sense of class and aesthetics while the suave chassis design makes you want to just keep touching it all day. We understand that not all would want to flaunt a luxurious design and thus offer el-cheapo design options as well. Remember, it's your laptop.

Opening the NBCMate Pro's lid is, really, opening an actual window to another utopian world. The notebook will come in 4K, 5K, and 8K screen options covering 100% of nearly every color gamut out there (we may invent a new one in the process too) and in a variety of screen sizes. In fact, our online configurator tool will let YOU decide the size, aspect ratio of the display, and even the bezel thickness. Want a 100% bezel-less design? Check. Want a 108 MP webcam with pixel binning? Check.

Oh! and did we mention that the NBCMate Pro's display is a delight to touch? Custom display software creates ripple effects making it feel as if you are touching water — just without the wetness.

Under the hood, the NBCMate Pro is a monster. Of course, you can configure it to be a dodo as well, but there is enough potential to make this device be coveted by aliens from Star Wars. In fact, we are working on semi-custom silicon from all major chip players, including a few fruity and salty ones, details of which cannot be revealed today for obvious reasons. One thing we can assure, there will no be throttling whatsoever.

The enticing part, however, is that we are also prototyping a Pro Max version that will use neural processors. For the very first time, your laptop will truly be an extension of your personality. Stay tuned for more details.

We are also partnering with leakers on Twitter to design custom GPUs. Again, the customization is entirely up to you. You get to decide everything including exactly how many SMs you want, and the memory interface and TDP you desire. Watch out for reports on upcoming leaks to get a sense of what the future holds.
