Earlier today, One-Netbook lifted the lid on the OneXPlayer Super X in China. As we have covered separately, the company confirmed that the OneXPlayer Super X is one of an increasing number of devices to leverage AMD's Strix Halo architecture via the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. Supposedly, the OneXPlayer Super X can push this APU to 120 W too unlike the comparable Asus ROG Flow Z13 (curr. $2,229 on Amazon).
Now, One-Netbook has indicated that the OneXPlayer Super X will receive a global release, just like the OneXPlayer X1 series before it. To that end, the company have published an English-language version of the teaser video it previously shared in Chinese, which we have embedded below.
Moreover, the company has emphasised to its Discord members that the OneXPlayer Super X serves as a direct rival to the latest ROG Flow Z13. If the teaser video was not clear enough already, One-Netbook has also shared a short table highlighting the areas in which the OneXPlayer Super X is said to surpass the ROG Flow Z13.
For instance, the OneXPlayer Super X has a higher resolution and AMOLED display than the ROG Flow Z13. Rumoured to be a 14-inch panel size considering its panel type, resolution and larger keyboard accessory than the equivalent designed for the OneXPlayer X1 series, the display will undoubtedly draw more power than the 2.5K IPS panel inside the ROG Flow Z13.
To combat this, One-Netbook has included a 19.2% larger battery than is rated for 83.5 W. Additionally, the OneXPlayer Super X features M.2 2280 and mini SSD slots compared to the M.2 2230 slot in the ROG Flow Z13. As far as we can tell, this is the same 1517 SSD type produced by Biwin that will also be available inside the GPD Win 5. Currently, One-Netbook is expected to launch the OneXPlayer Super X in October. Pricing and whether the device features OCuLink connectivity remain unclear at this stage, though.
