Roughly a month has gone by since One-Netbook previewed a new version of the OneXPlayer X1. Shared on Chinese social media, the company confirmed that the OneXPlayer X1 Air would depart from the existing OneXPlayer X1 and OneXPlayer X1 Pro (curr. $1,199 - renewed on Amazon) in a few areas. However, it decided against revealing when the 3-in-1 device would be available.
With the device having been exhibited last week at ChinaJoy 2025 in Shanghai, One-Netbook has now revealed more details about its second Intel-based OneXPlayer X1 device and the fourth it has announced so far. As we have discussed previously, the OneXPlayer X1 Air will combine an Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor with a 2.5K display that spans 10.95 inches diagonally.
While the display appears unchanged, the Core Ultra 7 258V should be significantly more power efficient than the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 inside the OneXPlayer X1 Pro. Couple that with a 10% larger battery (72 Wh vs. 65 Wh) and the OneXPlayer X1 Air should last significantly longer than the OneXPlayer X1 Pro did in our tests.
Moreover, One-Netbook has teased that the OneXPlayer X1 Air features 'hot-swappable PCIe mini SSD storage'. Although the company has not revealed exact details of this yet, its teaser suggests that replacing the SSD in the Air will be much simpler than the OneXPlayer X1 or OneXPlayer X1 Pro, which is a much harder process than on many other gaming handhelds.
On top of that, it looks like the OneXPlayer X1 Pro has a built-in stand rather than the detachable solution that One-Netbook ships with the OneXPlayer X1 and OneXPlayer X1 Pro. Currently, One-Netbook states that the OneXPlayer X1 Air will be available to order on its OneXPlayer website in late August. Full pricing and availability remain unconfirmed at this point, though.
