The MINISFORUM V3 is now official, having been released in China at the end of March. Now, renowned YouTuber ETA Prime has provided the first independent video showcasing the AMD Ryzen 7 8840U-powered convertible ahead of its global launch later this month.

ETA Prime has now shared the first independent video of the MINISFORUM V3, less than a fortnight after its official release. To recap, the company equips the device with a 14-inch IPS display that outputs at 2.5K, 165 Hz and 500 nits with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Additionally, the 2-in-1 is the first of its kind to sport a Ryzen 7 8840U APU, which AMD ships with an octa-core Zen 4 CPU and a Radeon 780M iGPU.

Unsurprisingly, the MINISFORUM V3 performs comparatively well for a 2-in-1 in synthetic benchmarks and triple-A games. According to the YouTuber, their review sample achieved 3,108, 7,059 and 25,973 in 3DMark's Time Spy, Fire Strike and Night Raid benchmarks, respectively. Moreover, the MINISFORUM V3 can handle games like Forza Horizon 5 at 1200p and medium graphics settings while maintaining an 18 W TDP.

On top of that, ETA Prime notes that the device has an AMD FreeSync panel that supports variable refresh rates. Consequently, image tearing should be kept to a minimum, particularly in modern games where the MINISFORUM V3 is not powerful enough to maintain a stable 60 FPS frame rate. Please note that MINISFORUM has yet to reveal global pricing. Instead, it has only outlined that the V3 costs CNY 6,999 (~$969) in China or CNY 7,199 (~$997) with a MINISFORUM V Pen, both with 32 GB of LPDDR5-6400 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.
