Deal | Meteor Lake-powered Asus Zenbook 14 OLED already discounted by $250 at Best Buy
The Asus Zenbook 14 OLED was among the first Meteor Lake notebooks to launch late last year. Now, it can be had for $250 below MSRP, thanks to a recent promotion at Best Buy.
Asus' notebook is available in two configurations. The lower-end variant with an Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, 8 GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory, and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD is currently discounted to $549.99. Meanwhile, the SKU with a Core Ultra 7 155H processor and double the amount of RAM and storage goes for $799.99.
Both models feature a 14-inch OLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200, 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and 500 nits of peak brightness in HDR. On the other hand, the refresh rate is limited to just 60 Hz.
Connectivity includes a pair of Thunderbolt 4 ports (DP Alt mode, Power Delivery), one 5 Gbps USB-A, HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Furthermore, an Intel AX211 wireless card adds WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.
The notebook's metal body measures 12.3 x 8.67 x 0.59 inches (312.4 x 220.1 x 14.9 mm) and tips the scales at 2.82 lbs (1.28 kg). It houses a 75 Wh Li-Ion battery that can charge at up to 65 W with the included USB-C power adapter.
You can also check out our review of the Zenbook 14 OLED but do note that our test sample had a different model number (UX3405). The Q415/Q425 variants currently on sale come in a different colorway, lack a virtual numpad, and have a lower-res 60 Hz OLED panel; however, it's unclear if Asus solved the noisy cooling solution or the coil whine our sample exhibited. On the bright side, the user reviews at Best Buy are quite positive, with an average rating of 4.8/5.
