Refreshed Razer Blade 18 goes on sale with Thunderbolt 5 support, starts at $3,099.99
After being announced at CES, Razer's refreshed Blade 18 gaming laptop has finally begun shipping. Significantly, this is one of the first machines to arrive with the new Thunderbolt 5 standard, which supports up to 120 Gbps of bandwidth in one direction or 80 Gbps symmetrically.
Powering the notebook is an Intel Core i9-14900HX (8P + 16E) paired with up to 64 GB of DDR5-5200 memory and a maximum of 4 TB of PCIe 4.0 storage (two M.2 slots total). Also included is either an RTX 4070, RTX 4080, or RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, with the latter operating at up to 175 W TGP.
When it comes to the 18-inch display, buyers can pick between a QHD+ (2,560 x 1,600) Mini-LED panel with a 300 Hz maximum refresh rate and a UHD+ (3,840 x 2,400) one that can reach 200 Hz.
As mentioned, connectivity includes a Thunderbolt 5 port (RTX 4070 configurations only support TB 4), along with three 10 Gbps USB-A ports, one 10 Gbps USB-C, a 2.5 GbE RJ45 connector, HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm combo audio jack. Additionally, an Intel BE200 wireless card adds the latest WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 standards.
The Razer Blade 18 (2024) is available now on Razer's own webstore and Amazon in two colorways - Black and Mercury, with pricing starting at $3,099.99.
