Acer unveils compact Predator Helios Neo 14 with GeForce RTX 4070 and 165 Hz 3K display
In addition to the Nitro 14 based on AMD Ryzen 8000, Acer also recently presented the Helios Neo 14, which features a better display, a faster graphics chip and Intel Meteor Lake at a higher price. Acer also utilizes a 14.5-inch display in 16:10 format for this model, which reaches a higher frame rate of 165 Hz.
The resolution is also higher than that of the Nitro 14, as the panel can display 3072 x 1920 with a pixel density of 250 PPI. The sRGB color space can be displayed in full, while Nvidia G-Sync is intended to prevent image tearing, even when games are run at lower frame rates. The top model is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 185H, which has six performance cores with clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz and eight efficiency cores.
There is also an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM. Two AeroBlade 3D fans, liquid metal thermal paste on the processor and extra-wide heat pipes are designed to effectively dissipate the waste heat from the CPU and GPU. Thanks to Meteor Lake, the Helios Neo 14 supports Thunderbolt 4 (USB-C).
The notebook also features USB-A, Wi-Fi 6E and a microSD card reader. The keyboard's RGB lighting, AI functions and performance settings can be customized in the PredatorSense app, while the dedicated Copilot button directly launches the Windows 11 AI assistant.
