The NucBox K9 is a new and now available mini PC that comes with a modern Intel processor suitable for powering AI programs.

The NucBox K9 is a new mini PC with an up-to-date Intel processor, namely the Intel Ultra 5 125H. The modern processor is also equipped with a corresponding NPU, allowing for optimal acceleration of AI applications. The model is offered as a barebone and therefore without RAM, SSD and operating system. The model is also available with an SSD with a capacity of 1 or 2 TB, while the RAM always measures 32 GB.

The SSD is connected via four PCIe 4.0 lanes and corresponds to the M.2 2280 format. A second SSD can be installed, allowing larger amounts of data to be stored locally. The RAM can also be upgraded or replaced: up to 5600 MHz DDR5 RAM with a capacity of up to 96 GB is supported, with two slots available.

Three high-resolution screens can be used simultaneously. HDMI and DisplayPort are available for this purpose, and USB-C can also be used as an image output, as is so often the case. Two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports are located on the front and two at the back, which are said to be able to transfer up to 10 GBit/s. Network connections are possible via the two Ethernet ports, each with a data transfer rate of 2.5 GBit/s. Wireless connections via WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 are also possible. A cooling system consisting of two fans, which should effectively prevent throttling, is installed.

The NucBox K9 is priced at $679.99 as a barebone, with import taxes and shipping costs included in the price.

A possible alternative: Buy the Acemagic F2A mini PC from Amazon.
