EliteMini UM690 Pro: MINISFORUM now selling new powerful mini-PC with HDMI 2.1 and USB 4 connectivity
MINISFORUM has expanded its UM690 range, which joins the recent release of the Venus Series UN100D. This time, the company has introduced the EliteMini UM690 Pro, which features a considerably more powerful chipset than the Venus Series UN100D. Incidentally, MINISFORUM still sells the UM690 and UM690S under its Venus Series.
At any rate, the EliteMini UM690 Pro utilises the Ryzen 9 6900HX with its Zen 3+ architecture CPU and RDNA 2-derived iGPU. Moreover, the mini-PC offers dual-channel SO-DIMM RAM, an M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. Based on MINISFORUM's product page, all EliteMini UM690 Pro configurations feature the same ports:
- 1x 3.5 mm jack
- 1x Clear CMOS
- 1x DC-in
- 1x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1x DMIC
- 1x HDMI 2.1
- 2x RJ45 Ethernet (2.5 Gigabit)
- 1x USB 2.0 Type-A
- 4x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2x USB 4
Currently, the new mini-PC starts at $349 in the US as a barebones unit. While MINISFORUM also sells the EliteMini UM690 Pro in Europe, its €429 barebones SKU is sold out at the time of publication. Instead, the mini-PC is available with a 1 TB SSD and 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM in the Eurozone for €609 and €719, respectively. By contrast, MINISFORUM charges $509 and $589 for the same SKUs in the US.
