Radxa releases new ZERO 3E single-board computer with Micro HDMI and Gigabit Ethernet connectivity
Radxa has released a few single-board computers (SBCs) this year, including the Rock 5A Pink Edition, the Rock 5C and the Rock 5C Lite. Now, the company has started selling the ZERO 3E, which it introduced in November 2023. While Radxa's recent Rock SBCs resemble the Raspberry Pi 5, the ZERO 3E is closer in design to the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W.
Specifically, the ZERO 3E measures 70 x 30 mm but still integrates a 40-pin GPIO header and Gigabit Ethernet connection, as well as two USB Type-C ports, a MicroSD card reader, a MIPI-CSI connection and a Micro HDMI port that outputs at up to 1080p and 60 Hz. Moreover, Radxa includes a Rockchip RK3566 chipset that brings four ARM Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 1.6 GHz and a Mali-G52-2EE GPU to the ZERO 3E, which it complements with LPDDR4 RAM.
To that end, Arace Tech currently sells the ZERO 3E with 1 GB, 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM; for some reason, an anticipated 8 GB of RAM SKU is missing at the time of publication. At any rate, the ZERO 3E starts at $15.99 and rises to $20.99 when configured with 2 GB of RAM. Alternatively, the SBC can be purchased with 4 GB of RAM for $30.99.
