AAEON has a new single-board computer in its range. Basically, the model can be as an alternative to a Raspberry Pi, but uses standard Intel processors. Accordingly, Windows 10, Windows 11 and also Ubuntu can be used. There are several processors to choose from, namely the Intel Core Ultra 5 125U, 125H, 135U, 135H, Intel Core Ultra 7 155U, 155H, 165U and Intel Core Ultra 7 165H. The RAM cannot be upgraded, so up to 64 GB of LDDR5 RAM is permanently installed.
No eMMC storage is installed, so users have to make do with an M.2 2280 SSD, and a SATA port is available for connecting an additional SSD or a classic magnetic hard disk. Numerous ports are available, including four monitor outputs. High-resolution image content can be output via two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1 port and USB-C. The USB-C port supports DisplayPort 1.4, while two USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports in Type A allow for the high-performance connection of external storage devices and accessories.
A camera can be connected via MIPI-CSI. M.2 2230 and M.2 3052 slots are also available for a cellular modem. An Ethernet port with a data transfer rate of up to 2.5 GBit/s is on board for network connections, as well as two RS-232/422/485 ports. The GPIO pin header has 40 pins. Thanks to its AI computing power of up to 32 TOPs, the 120.35 x 122.5 mm board is also intended for use in AI-supported tasks.
