With its longer battery life, LTE modem, and low noise and heat output, the Lenovo business notebook is an excellent choice. There is plenty of processing power available with a Ryzen 7 APU. The dual RAM slot configuration is a noteworthy plus. The starting price is around $700.

The ThinkPad L series is known for offering entry-level and mid-range business notebooks. This particular model represents the fourth iteration of the 15.6-inch variant in the series. Lenovo has equipped it with APUs from AMD (Ryzen 7000), and there are also models with CPUs from Intel (Raptor Lake) available, but the one being reviewed is AMD-based. The AMD models in this lineup, at the time of testing, are priced between approximately $700 to $1,300, this specific model falls into the upper mid-range category.

Powered by the Ryzen 7-PRO-7730U APU, the laptop delivers ample performance for internet and office applications. It even allows for the use of modest computer games, albeit at low settings. The CPU is supported by 16 GB of RAM (DDR4-3200, single-channel mode). It is recommended to install a second memory module to enable dual-channel mode and fully unleash the APU's potential.

While the built-in SSD (PCIe 4, M.2-2242) has a modest capacity of 512 GB, it should be sufficient for the laptop's intended purposes. Expanding storage capacity would require replacing the SSD, as the laptop lacks space for additional SSDs.

The laptop has a fantastic battery life, runs quietly, and generates very little heat. Additionally, it features an LTE modem for mobile network connectivity. The 15.6-inch built-in display (IPS, FHD) has restricted color space coverage and falls short of the specified brightness (> 300 cd/m2). On the plus side, the display has a high contrast ratio and a matte finish.
