Amazon has slashed the price of the Pixel 9a by $150, and the good news is that you’re not limited to just one color, with the discount extending to all four shades: Obsidian, Iris, Peony, and Porcelain. But the bad news is that these options are limited to the 128GB model. The 256GB variant, also marked down by $150 (now $449), is only available in Obsidian and Iris. This is the lowest price we've seen for the 9a, beating the previous all-time low of $399.
Best Buy has also discounted Google's latest midranger, with the 128GB model currently going for $399. That's $50 more than what Amazon is offering, but still a good price if you missed out on the Amazon deal.
What makes the Pixel 9a such a great midranger is its sheer value. At $349, you’re essentially getting more phone for less money. Its 6.3-inch OLED display gets exceptionally bright, registering a peak brightness of 2,653 nits (APL 18) in our review, and its Tensor G4 processor and 120Hz refresh rate panel offer smooth everyday performance, even when playing demanding games like PUBG.
The phone’s dual-camera system is also quite dependable, with our reviewer praising the 48MP primary shooter for turning in sharp images with an impressive amount of detail. The 13MP front camera also outputs great shots and supports 4K video recording. You also get a big 5,100mAh battery as well as wireless charging (7.5W max). In addition, the phone boasts IP68 dust and water resistance. But what really seals the deal is Google’s seven years of guaranteed OS updates, which means you’ll continue to receive the latest Android features and security patches well into 2032.
The Pixel 9a is basically a watered-down version of the flagship Pixel 9, which offers a more premium build, more RAM (8GB vs 12GB), Wi-Fi 7 support vs Wi-Fi 6E on the 9a, and a better ultra-wide camera (48MP vs 13MP) for $700.
