RedMagic 9 Pro: Gaming flagship with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and ultra-slim design launches in stylish special edition
The RedMagic 9 Pro from Nubia is currently one of the most powerful gaming smartphones on the market. After the flagship was presented in China in November last year, the global launch took place just one month later.
Initially, the RedMagic 9 Pro was released in three different colors with mostly quite eye-catching designs. The manufacturer has now unveiled a special edition to mark the Chinese New Year and in honor of the Year of the Dragon. Pre-sales for the RedMagic 9 Pro White Special Edition have already started.
The special edition model in a bright white design with a hint of dragon on the back is currently only available in China for 5799 yuan, which is the equivalent of around $820. This puts the RedMagic 9 Pro White Special Edition, which is equipped with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage space and comes with a customized scope of delivery, in line with the previously available models without a large surcharge. Whether the special design will also be available globally at a later date remains unknown.
With its bright white color, the RedMagic 9 Pro looks much more simple and elegant than previous models. It has almost completely shed the charm of a gaming smartphone, which means that the new model is likely to appeal to customers who want a powerful smartphone without the gaming vibes. Especially since the device is particularly slim and without a camera bump and with an under-display camera.
The other specs of the RedMagic 9 Pro White Special Edition do not differ from the regular model. The smartphone is equipped with, among other things, the actively cooled Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a 6.8-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and a 6500 mAh battery with 80 W fast charging.
