Powkiddy RGB10 Max 3 now available with launch discounts in yellow and transparent blue colours
Powkiddy has now launched the RGB10 Max 3, a new retro gaming handheld stylised as RGB10MAX3. As far as we can tell, indications that Powkiddy was preparing the RGB10 Max 3 surfaced in early December 2023, albeit without any indication as to its retail name. Surprisingly, the device looks completely different to the RGB10 Max 3 Pro that Powkiddy released in June 2023.
According to the company's product listing, the RGB10 Max 3 measures 179.5 x 76.5 x 18 mm. In other words, the device will be noticeably smaller than the RGB10 Max 3 Pro, which comes in at 183 x 84.5 x 18 mm. Nonetheless, the RGB10 Max 3 has a 5-inch IPS display like its 'Pro' sibling, which outputs at 1,280 x 720 pixels and its supported by a 4,000 mAh battery. Moreover, Powkiddy has based the Rockchip RK3566 and 1 GB of LPDDR4 RAM too, a popular choice for budget retro gaming handhelds, including the Z-Pocket Game Bubble.
While Powkiddy shows half a dozen colours on its website, it is only offering two of these six options for now. Specifically, the company has limited the RGB10 Max 3 to transparent blue and yellow finishes, each with a choice of four MicroSD card options. Currently, the RGB10 Max 3 is orderable for $89.99 and rises to $109.99 with a secondary 128 GB MicroSD card. Please see Powkiddy's website for more details.
