Twinkly Matrix smart LED curtain with gaming integrations now available
Twinkly is now selling the Matrix smart LED curtain in North America and the EU. The company claims that it is the first product of its kind, with a high bulb density and app-based controls. You could use the screen-like light display for gaming, relaxing, or as a decoration for a special occasion.
The Matrix has 480 to 500 8mm RGB LED lights, offering over 16 million colors alongside a range of dynamic effects. The colors and animation can be fully customized in the Twinkly App, which is available for iOS and Android, or you can choose from a range of preset effects. Alternatively, you can upload GIFs to be displayed on the curtain or use the Screen Mirror Tool to share content from your PC. You can link the Matrix to other Twinkly lights, and the Twinkly Music accessory allows you to sync the lighting to music. Smart home integrations include Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and the product is compatible with the OMEN Light Studio and Razer Chroma RGB gaming lightning ecosystems.
There are two shapes on offer: a square 3.3 x 3.3 ft (~1 x 1 m) curtain or a rectangular 1.6 x 7.9 ft (~0.5 x 2.4 m) version. You can buy the Twinkly Matrix 1.6 x 7.9 ft smart LED curtain for $199.99/CA$297.00/€199.99 in North America and many EU countries. The 3.3 x 3.3 ft version is available to pre-order at the same price. The products are yet to go on sale in the UK, Australia, and Switzerland, where they will retail for £199.99, AU$388.00 and CHF199.99, respectively.
