AOC AGON GAMING Q27G4X arrives as budget gaming monitor with 180 Hz refresh rate and 1440p resolution

AOC has refreshed its G4 GAMING monitor series, less than a fortnight after it unveiled the AGON GAMING 24G4X and AGON GAMING 27G4X. This time, the company has presented the AGON GAMING Q27G4X, a more premium alternative to the AGON GAMING 27G4X that it already sells. Specifically, the AGON GAMING Q27G4X delivers a 2,560 x 1,440 native resolution, commonly abbreviated to 1440p.

By contrast, the AGON GAMING 27G4X outputs at 1080p. Thus, the AGON GAMING Q27G4X should deliver a crisper viewing experience than its 1080p sibling. Additionally, the AGON GAMING Q27G4X provides a 180 Hz refresh rate across its 27-inch IPS panel, as well as 1 ms GtG and 00.5 ms MPRT response times that are aided by Adaptive Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility. Moreover, AOC states that the AGON GAMING Q27G4X is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified, which ensures true 8-bit image quality and 400 nits peak luminance.

Elsewhere, AOC has included DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 ports but no USB hub to speak of. Also, the monitor features built-in speakers and VESA mounts, although AOC has not provided any other details about the former yet.
