AOC has released the AGON Gaming 27G4X, a 27-inch IPS gaming monitor with a 1080p resolution and a 180 Hz refresh rate. Offered for £169.99 in the UK and €219 in the Eurozone, the AOC AGON Gaming 27G4X also has several video outputs and is NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible.

The AGON Gaming 27G4X serves as the larger option in AOC's new G4 gaming monitor series. Arriving with the AGON GAMING 24G4X, the AGON Gaming 27G4X centres around an IPS panel that measures 27-inches across, as its name implies. According to AOC, the AGON Gaming 27G4X actually has a 'Fast IPS' panel. However, this is merely a marketing term that denotes an IPS panel with relatively low response times.

In this case, the AGON Gaming 27G4X delivers a 1 ms response time when using the GtG standard or 0.5 ms when measured via MPRT. Additionally, the monitor supports NVIDIA G-SYNC to keep image tearing to a minimum. Arguably, one of the AGON Gaming 27G4X's standout features is its 180 Hz refresh rate, which AOC complements with a 1080p resolution.

Thus, the monitor can deliver 1080p and 180 Hz visuals across either its DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0 ports. Moreover, while AOC includes a 3.5 mm jack, a pair of 2 W speakers are on hand should you not have external audio equipment around. The AGON Gaming 27G4X is available now in the UK for £169.99 with a three-year warranty. Alternatively, AOC sells the same monitor in the Eurozone for €219.
