Spec Ops: The Line was released 12 years back. Developed by YAGER, it's a controversial title due to its storyline, but it's still a highly regarded third-person military shooter. However, yesterday, it got delisted from Steam and other game stores. Publisher 2K explained it's due to the expiration of "several partnership licenses."

YAGER's Spec Ops: The Line was delisted from Steam and other digital game stores yesterday. As it's one of the highly regarded third-person military shooter games, this delisting sparked conversations. For instance, gamers who owned the game before the delisting flooded the review section on Steam, asking why the title was no longer available for purchase.

Publisher 2K gave the answer that all those gamers were looking for. According to 2K, Spec Ops: The Line will no longer be available for purchase on online storefronts such as Steam for the expiration of "several partnership licenses." The publisher assured that gamers already owning the third-person shooter title can still "download and play the game uninterrupted."

As spotted by @Wario64, the game appears to be still available for purchase in 3rd party PC game stores such as GOG and Humble. Xbox owners also have the chance to get YAGER's most popular title before it eventually gets delisted from the official Xbox games store (Series X 1 TB curr. $450 on Amazon).

If this is your first time hearing about Spec Ops: The Line, it's a third-person military shooter that YAGER designed to "challenge players' morality." It achieves that by making the gamers explore the "dark side of war in a realistic way." The title is set in Dubai, which is covered by a cataclysmic sandstorm.
