Gogoro has equipped its new top-end scooter with a "high performance" 11,000 rpm H1 motor, rated for up to 9,000 watts (W) of power and 378 newton-meters (Nm) of rear-wheel torque in order to get the Pulse from 0 to 50 kilometers per hour (kph, or ~32 mph) in as little as 3.05 seconds.
The vehicle's new AEROFORCE design is backed to provide cooling for the aforementioned motor as well as to confer "advanced" aerodynamics on the scooter. It may also inject some futurism into "urban two-wheeled" transport, thanks to design cues such as the "active-matrix" headlight system made up of parallel LED strips.
They are rated to automatically and "dynamically" match their intensity to the Pulse's speed "to create a new level of safety, awareness and convenience". The resulting chunky yet stylish lines are only somewhat broken up by the 10.25-inch display jutting from between its handlebars.
Its iQ Touch HD UI supports "new" features such as "turn-by-turn navigation with real-time traffic information", and also helps the user switch between the Pulse's "Range, Dirt, City, Touring, Track or Custom" riding modes. The display is a main component of Gogoro's new "Smart Cockpit" powered by an EV-optimized Qualcomm QWM2290 platform.
The Gogoro Pulse is also rated to support virtual keys that can be kept in an iPhone user's Wallet app, and to be compatible with Find My for potentially increased theft-protection. The scooter is projected to become available in Taiwan in the second quarter of 2024.
