Acer Predator Extreme new off-road e-scooter launching soon
Acer has unveiled the new Predator Extreme PES017 e-scooter. The off-road model was announced in March 2023, when it went on show at the Taipei Cycle 2023 event. Since then, the product has been upgraded in several ways, including a more powerful motor and increased range.
The Extreme has a 350W motor with 960W peak power and 40 Nm torque, allowing you to climb up to 18% inclines. The engine will enable you to ride at speeds up to 20 kph (~12 mph), 25 kph (~16 mph) or 32 kph (~20 mph), capped in line with regulations in various regions. You can choose from three speed modes on a handlebar-mounted controller, and a swappable 48V 10.5Ah battery allows you to ride for up to 35 km (~22 miles) on a single charge. Plus, a dual suspension system combines a telescopic fork at the front with a rear shock absorber to make your ride more comfortable on uneven surfaces.
Other features include a low centre of gravity, 10-inch crocodile tires for enhanced grip, hydraulic disc brakes, and indicator lights. The Acer Predator Extreme PES017 e-scooter will launch in countries across EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) in Q2 2024, retailing for €1,299 (~$1,400). Whether or when the model could reach other markets, such as the US, Canada, and Australia, remains to be seen.
