New Decathlon Van Rysel E-EDR CF endurance road bike appears

Teaser
Decathlon appears to be launching a new electric endurance road bike model under its Van Rysel sub-brand: the E-EDR CF. The e-bike was found in a catalogue that shows various products that will go on sale in the US this year. Features include a Mahle motor and Shimano groupset.

The Decathlon Van Rysel E-EDR CF endurance road bike appears to have been leaked. The new model has appeared in a catalogue detailing models in the brand’s 2024 line-up for the US. Also shown in the document were three new Van Rysel gravel bikes and various e-MTBs from the Rockrider sub-brand.

The E-EDR CF is powered by a rear-mounted Mahle X20 motor with 250W power and 55 Nm torque. A 350Wh battery appears to be stored in the downtube, and the 12-speed model has a Shimano 105 R7150 Di2 rear derailleur. Other components include a Shimano FC R7100 crankset, Shimano 105 hydraulic disc brakes, a DEDA X VR Superbox Evo stem and integrated lights. The model has a carbon frame with 700 x 32 tire clearance and comes fitted with Hutchinson Fusion 5 Performance 700 x 25 tires. The e-bike has a green finish across the frame and is available in sizes from XS to XL, weighing about 27.5 lbs (~12.5 kg).

It remains to be seen whether or not the Decathlon Van Rysel E-EDR CF e-bike will launch in the US in 2024 or if it will arrive in other markets worldwide. Precisely how much the model will cost is also unknown; for context, the non-electric Van Rysel EDR CF Ultegra Disc Road Bike retails for $3,999/£2,999.99/€2,750.
