Haibike has revealed the 2024 edition of its entry-level Trekking 4 e-bike. The latest model is available with step-through or step-over frames and has several upgrades compared to its predecessor. These include the Yamaha PW-S2 75Nm motor and a 720Wh battery for a longer range.

The 2024 Haibike Trekking 4 e-bike is now available. The model is designed to ride around the city and handle uneven terrain. Available with high and low frames, the latest version of the entry-level bicycle has several upgrades on its predecessor, including tweaks to the frame (geometry comparison below).

A new Yamaha PW-S2 250W motor with up to 75Nm and a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) powers the 2024 Trekking 4, with a higher capacity 720Wh InTube battery for an extended range. Haibike has chosen a different suspension fork from SR Suntour, opting for the XCM32 ATB DS LO steel spring with 100 mm travel. Other changes include Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes, a 10-speed Shimano Microshift Advent X rear derailleur and 27.5-inch x 2.3-inch Continental Ruban Reflex tires. Also included is a 1.7-inch LCD from Yamaha, fenders, lights, and an MIK luggage carrier system with a 25 kg (~55 lbs) load limit; the bike's total permissible load is 130 kg (~287 lbs).

The Haibike Trekking 4 High and Low e-bikes are now available for €3,499/£2,999, making it €400/£400 more expensive than its predecessor. You can only buy the models via dealers; they are not available directly from Haibike. Plus, customers in the UK can currently save £150 when they buy the new model via E-Bikeshop.
