Diamant now offers a broader range of battery sizes for several e-bikes: the Zing Gen 2, Beryl Gen 3 and Mandara Gen 3 models. Each of these electric bicycles uses a Bosch PowerPack Smart System battery, with a wide range of capacities now on offer.
The largest PowerPack for the Diamant e-bikes is now an 800 Wh variant, recently released by Bosch. This provides an extra 75 Wh compared to the 725 Wh available before and only adds 100g (~3.5 oz) of weight at around 4 kg (~8.8 lbs). The company has not provided an estimated increase in range for the higher-capacity battery. However, Bosch claims that the power pack can easily exceed an assistance range of 100 km (~60 miles), though this is dependent on factors like the weather, the trail conditions and your chosen assistance level. The 800 Wh model recharges to 50% in a little over two hours, with a full recharge estimated to take six hours.
The 725 Wh version remains on offer, alongside the entry-level 400Wh battery, 1.7 kg (~3.7 lbs) lighter than its 800 Wh counterpart. Another option in the middle of the range has a 545 Wh capacity. As standard, the Zing, Beryl and Mandara bikes are equipped with the 400 Wh option. Upgrades to the 545 Wh, 725 Wh and 800 Wh variants are priced at an extra €250, €550 and €650, respectively.
