The Tenways CGO009 e-bike has been announced for the European market. The new model is a smart electric bicycle designed for riding around the city and has a striking design, similar to VanMoof models. Tenways has not provided many details about the e-bike, though a teaser video on the brand’s website offers some information.
The footage of the CGO009 shows that a proprietary C-9 hub motor powers the e-bike, which is thought to have 250W power and 40 Nm torque. Like the Tenways AGO T, the new e-bike is predicted to have a Gates Carbon Drive Belt, a maintenance-free solution expected to last around 30,000 km (~18,600 miles). The battery is stored inside the frame, with cables routed internally. A display on the down tube appears to be indicating the remaining battery or assistance level, with a controller seemingly mounted on the handlebars. Other parts include front and rear lights, mudguards and disc brakes. Plus, rumors suggest that the model will weigh around 15 kg (~33 lbs).
Regarding the smart features hinted at by Tenways, other e-bikes from the brand offer app-based controls, with journey statistics and GPS tracking. The Tenways CGO009 e-bike will go on sale on February 28th for €2,399. The company is offering a €100 discount to the first 100 customers, suggesting you must sign up to the email list to receive more information about the deal. Tenways ships its e-bikes to most countries within the EU, the UK and Switzerland.
