Husqvarna has revealed three new e-bikes in the EU under the name Grand Pather. The touring models have been designed to perform just as well on roads as on uneven terrains. Features include varying suspension forks and 29-inch tyres from Schwalbe to make rides on rougher surfaces more comfortable.
The Grand Pather 5 and Grand Pather 6 combine an 85 Nm Yamaha PW-X3 motor with a Simplo 720 Wh battery. The e-bikes have different suspension forks: the 5 has an SR SUNTOUR Mobie34-D 2CR front fork, while the 6 has the Mobie34 2CR variant, each with 80mm travel. Both are 12-speed models, with a Shimano Deore XT group set for the 6 and an SRAM NX Eagle Equivalent for the 5. The entry-level Grand Pather 4 has a lower-powered Yamaha PW-S2 motor with 75 Nm torque. This is accompanied by a 630 Wh battery and an NX1 Boost LO front fork from SR SUNTOUR, again with 80mm travel. Plus, this 11-speed bicycle has a TEKTRO RD-M550 rear derailleur.
Other features across all models include a Yamaha Display C LC screen with Bluetooth, mudguards, an MIK HD carrier system and a kickstand. The e-bikes have an aluminum frame offered in step-through and step-over shapes and four sizes, weighing 25.7 kg (~56.7 lbs) on average. The Husqvarna Grand Pather 4, 5 and 6 e-bikes retail for €3,999, €4,499 and €4,999, respectively, available via dealers in the EU. When the models could roll out to other regions remains to be seen.
