Velo de Ville has unveiled its 2024 AEB 990 e-bike. The model sits in the brand’s Allround series, meaning the bicycle is suitable for riding around the city or off-roading across fields or gravel paths. With the latest model, the company is offering a wide range of customization options.
The AEB 990 is powered by a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, delivering up to 85Nm torque and a top assistance speed of 25 kph (~16 mph). The e-bike comes with a 500Wh Bosch battery as standard, with options to upgrade to a 625Wh powerpack and to add the PowerMore 250Wh range extender. Velo de Ville offers various frame sizes and types including a diamond intube, wave intube and trapeze intube, all with room to hide the battery. You can choose from eight gear options: parts from Shimano, Enviolo, and Rohloff, stepless shifting hubs, and 5-speed to 14-speed solutions. For suspension, the base model comes with an RST Volar fork at the front with 80mm travel, though customers can switch this for the RST Vogue E Air suspension fork for a fee. On the display front, a Bosch Intuvia 100 or Bosch Purion 200 can be equipped free of charge, with three further models, including the Bosch Kiox 500, available at an additional cost. Other basic features include Shimano Disc MT200 brakes and Schwalbe Smart Sam tires.
Customers can choose how they customize their electric bicycle, picking each part separately or selecting from a range of equipment packages with names like Ergonomy, Light and Comfort. The Velo de Ville 2024 AEB 990 e-bike starts from €4,049/£3,719. The company ships from Germany to various European countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, France and Spain.
