Xiaomi has announced the Electric Scooter 4 Pro Plus for the global market. The new product follows the Electric Scooter 4 Pro, launched in Europe in 2022. Both models are powered by a 350W motor with three speed modes up to 25 kph (~16 mph). The product listing for the new scooter suggests it has a higher peak power of 960W compared to the 700W in its predecessor.
Another upgrade for the 4 Pro Plus over the 4 Pro is the range, with up to 60 km (~37 miles) on a single charge, up from 55 km (~34 miles). The battery fully recharges via the standard charger in around nine hours. The company has also announced the Xiaomi Electric Scooter Fast Charger, with 210W output power, reducing the charging time to three hours. The gadget is compatible with the Scooter 4 Pro Plus; the product page also leaks the Electric Scooter Pro Max model, which has yet to be announced but will work with the fast charger.
Other features of the 4 Pro Plus include automatic lighting, 10-inch run-flat tires, a multifunctional dashboard, E-ABS braking and app-based controls. The new e-scooter is heavier than the older model at 19.5 kg (~43.0 lbs), likely due to the bigger battery and possibly the higher-powered motor. It remains to be seen when the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro Plus will go on sale, where it will launch and how much it will cost.
