Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro launches in Europe as increased 55 km range announced
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro has been launched in Europe. The e-scooter, first revealed earlier this year, has a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph). The 700 W motor offers three speed modes and can help you to tackle inclines up to 20%. At launch, the vehicle has a 446 Wh battery delivering a 45 km (~28 miles) range, which will increase to 55 km (~34 miles) in August via an OTA update.
The Electric Scooter 4 Pro’s charging port is concealed behind a magnetic lid, allowing you to recharge the battery fully in around nine hours. A smart BMS protects the power pack from short-circuiting and overheating. Plus, 10-in DuraGel tires used on the scooter are self-sealing and therefore puncture resistant, and their size provides a comfortable ride.
A display supplies real-time information such as your speed and battery charge level, and a 2.5 W headlight helps you see in the dark. You can use the Xiaomi Home App to remotely lock the motor and configure settings such as cruise control. The folding scooter has an aluminum alloy frame which can collapse to 510 x 1,198 x 480 mm (~20 x 47 x 19-in) and weighs 17 kg (~37 lbs), making it easier to transport.
You can buy the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Pro from Amazon in countries including the Netherlands, France, Spain and Germany. Depending on your country, the vehicle currently costs between €793.38 and €1,012.05 (~US$793.43 and US$1,012,12). Reseller Powerplanetonline also ships the scooter to European countries such as Italy and the UK.
