Xiaomi has unveiled the Electric Scooter 4 Pro, an electric scooter that the company leaked earlier this month. As we discussed at the time, Xiaomi confirmed that Segway-Ninebot would be manufacturing the Electric Scooter 4 Pro, rather than Navee which build the Electric Scooter 3 Lite. Still, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro resembles other Xiaomi scooters, including its predecessors.
According to Xiaomi, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro outputs at up 700 W with a 25 km/h maximum speed and a 45 km range. In saying that, the company states that the electric scooter has a rated power of 350 W and draws from a 474 Wh (12,400 mAh) battery. Also, the Electric Scooter 3 Pro weighs 16.5 kg, measures 1,198 x 484 x 1,240 mm and can carry up to 120 kg.
Supposedly, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro has an upgraded double-action disc brake on its rear wheel, plus improved control efficiency, an E-ABS system on its front wheel and a form of kinetic energy recovery system (KERS). For reference, the electric scooter also has 10-inch self-sealing tires with a self-repairing coating.
Unfortunately, Xiaomi remains quiet on when it will start selling the Electric Scooter 4 Pro. Currently, it will only confirm that it will make availability known at a later date, with no time given at all. However, the company states that the scooter will launch for €799, whenever it does reach the market.
