Steereon launches C20 and C30 hybrid e-bike and e-scooter vehicles
Steereon has added two new hybrid e-bike and e-scooter vehicles to its range, the 2022 C20 and C30. The two models are similar, with one key difference being the C30 has a seat post and saddle, but this is an optional extra for the C20.
Another difference is the maximum speeds; the C20 maxes out at 20 kph (~12 mph). This means that the vehicle is legally approved for use in the EU without a driving license on cycle paths and roads.
The C30 can have three maximum speeds: 20 kph (~12 mph), 25 kph (~16 mph), and 32 kph (~20 mph). The two lower speeds, ‘light moped’ and ‘moped’, require a moped certificate, with the highest speed version classed as a motorcycle and therefore requiring a driving license.
Both vehicles have an 18-in front wheel and a 14-in rear wheel, each 2-in larger than the wheels on the 2021 models. A 556 Wh lithium-ion battery delivers up to 40 km (~25 miles) of range and takes around four hours to charge. You can double the distance travelled between charges with an optional range extender.
Each vehicle is fitted with hydraulic disc brakes, LED rear and headlights and an LED display unit. The product weighs approximately 22 kg (~49 lbs) and measures around 143 x 76 x 113 cm (56 x 30 x 44-in) or 116 x 32 x 70 cm (46 x 13 x 28-in) when folded.
You can buy the 2022 Steereon C20 and C30 models starting from €2,999. The vehicles are handmade in Cologne, Germany, where you can pick them up free of charge. The company says that delivery abroad is available upon request, with shipping costs not included in the price.
