Fluid Mosquito lightweight e-scooter launches with a 28 mph top speed
Fluidfreeride has released a new e-scooter, the fluid Mosquito. The company claims that this is the most powerful ultraportable gadget on the market, weighing just 29 lbs (15kg). The scooter folds to 41.5 x 5.65 x 13-in (~105 x 14 x 33 cm).
Even the handlebars fold down to take up less space; these features make it easier to carry and store at home or in your office. When unfolded, the scooter measures 44.25 x 15.75 x 45.5-in (~112 x 40 x 116 cm).
The fluid Mosquito has a 500 W motor with a maximum speed of 28 mph (~45 kph) and a peak output at 700 W. A 48 V lithium-ion battery 9.6 Ah battery provides over 20 miles (~32 km) in range, taking five hours to charge fully.
An advanced regenerative braking system ensures you come to a smooth stop while recharging your battery. Plus, the scooter has a dual suspension system for an easy riding experience and improved handling.
LED headlights and rear lights ensure you can see and be seen in low lighting and an LED display shows information such as the battery level. The scooter can handle loads up to 265 lbs (~120 kg)
You can now pre-order the fluid Mosquito in the US at the discounted price of US$899, a US$100 saving from the US$999 retail price. It is unclear whether or when the Mosquito could launch in other markets, though Fluid already sells its gadgets in Europe.
