Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite weighing 13 kg could soon arrive in Europe
The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite could soon be available in Europe. The vehicle was launched earlier this year in China and has since received various approvals in several other countries. In Germany, the Federal Motor Transport Authority has granted the ABE for the Xiaomi Electric Scooter 3 Lite, making the vehicle road legal.
The same approval was also granted last month for another scooter model from the brand, the Electric Scooter 4 Pro. In Italy, another certification suggested that the Scooter 3 Lite would soon be available in the country. Now, a listing for the product has appeared on the global Xiaomi website.
As we previously reported, the vehicle will have three modes with a maximum speed of 25 kph (~16 mph) and up to 20 km (~12 miles) range. Plus, the scooter will be able to tackle inclines up to 14%. The gadget is lightweight thanks to an aluminum frame, weighing around 13 kg (~29 lbs), and folds in three places to make it easier to carry.
A built-in display shows your speed and the battery charge level, and you can adjust the scooter’s settings in an accompanying app. The Xiaomi Scooter 3 Lite is currently selling in China for 1,999 yuan (~US$299) in black and white. It is unclear exactly when the scooter will launch in new markets.
