The Microlino configurator is live, allowing customers to pre-order a vehicle with the design of their choice. Over 30,000 people have reserved a Microlino electric microcar so far, billed as a cross between a motorbike and a car. The EV has space for two adults and 220 L of luggage.
You can fully charge the vehicle in four hours using a standard wall plug to get up to 230 km (~143 miles) of range from a 14 kWh battery. Alternatively, an electric charging station can charge the car in one hour. The Microlino is one-third of the size of a regular vehicle, allowing you to park it horizontally across a parking bay rather than vertically.
The car weighs just 535 kg (1,179 lbs) with a 12.5 kW motor to deliver up to 89 Nm of torque. The EV has a top speed of 90 kph (~56 mph) and can accelerate from 0 to 50 kph (0 to 31 mph) in 5 seconds.
Customers in Europe can currently reserve a Microlino with a 500 CHF (~US$506) deposit, with prices starting at 14,990 CHF (~US$15,174). Deliveries of the Pioneer Series in Switzerland are due to begin this summer. The Dolce and Competizione cars will arrive in Germany and Italy from the end of 2022 and in early 2023. The Urban model, available to the rest of the EU, will be delivered from Q2 2023.
