Rockrider E-ST 500 27.5-in e-mountain bike launches with 250 W mid-mounted motor
Rockrider has launched a new e-mountain bike (E-MTB) in Europe, the E-ST 500 27.5-in. The E-MTB has a 250 W Brose C motor positioned in the centre of the frame that can deliver up to 58 N of torque and assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph). A 420 Wh Samsung SDI or LG battery powers the bike for up to 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The bike has three speed modes: Eco, Standard and Boost. Comfort features of the bike include a more upright sitting position, an Evo comfort saddle and Fork Suntour XCM suspension with an immersion depth of 120 mm (~4.7-in). Plus, the e-bike has 27.5-in Rockrider wheels, compatible with tire widths up to 2.5-in. The E-MTB has eight gears, a Microshift Acolyte rear derailleur and is fitted with hydraulic Tektro M276 brakes.
You can use the Ergo 500 display to view information about the bike and your ride, such as battery charge level, speed and distance travelled. The E-MTB has an aluminum Rockrider Comfort Geometry frame, with the small E-ST 500 weighing 22.8 kg (~50.3 lbs), and the extra-large model weighing 23.2 kg (~51.1 lbs).
