State Bicycle 6061 eBike Commuter launches with 100-mile range
The State Bicycle 6061 eBike Commuter is now available in the US, the first pedelec from the brand. The bike is designed for everyday trips to your place of work, with up to 100 miles (~161 km) of assisted range and a top speed of 20 mph (~32 kph).
The e-bike is powered by a 250 W rear-mounted Class 1 LG motor, with five-speed modes available. At the top level, the range decreases to around 24 miles (~39 km). The bike has an aluminum frame and can fit tires up to 40c, plus 160 mm rotor disc brakes. An LG 36V10AH cell lithium battery used on the bike can recharge fully in around 3.5 hours.
The bike weighs around 38 lbs 13 oz (~17.6 kg) and can support a maximum payload of 330 lbs (~150 kg). A backlit display is fitted to the bike, and you can choose to purchase the pedelec with various accessories such as lights, a lock and a kickstand.
You can buy the State Bicycle 6061 eBike Commuter in the US for US$1,499.99 in Matte Black. The company claims that it is one of the cheapest e-bikes for sale. It is currently unclear whether or when the pedelec could be available in other countries; the State Bicycle Co. already sells some of its bikes in the UK and Europe, so it may launch the e-bike in these markets.
