The Rotwild R.X735 e-mountain bike has been launched. The bike has a large 720 Wh battery, designed by the Rotwild team, weighing 3.6 kg (~7.9 lbs); the company does not indicate a maximum assistance range for the power pack. The bicycle also comes with a 4.5 A charge to recharge the battery. A Shimano EP8 motor powers the pedelec, delivering up to 85 Nm of torque and a top speed of 25 kph (~16 mph).
The integrated power unit sits on the bike's frame and can be removed with a quick-release button. For off-roading, the Rotwild R.X735 has 150 mm travel from the Fox 36 Performance suspension fork and 144 mm travel rear shock. You can fit tires up to 29-in x 2.6-in (755 x 66 mm) in size to the electric bicycle, with 29-in x 2.4-in (~755 x 61 mm) tires coming as standard. The e-bike is also equipped with MAGURA MT5 disc brakes.
All cables are internally routed so they cannot get snagged on you or your surroundings, and the bike can support loads up to 130 kg (~287 lbs). The pedelec has a high modulus carbon fibre frame and weighs 21 kg (~46 lbs), which is impressively light given the battery size. You can buy the Rotwild R.X735 electric bike from €7,999 (~US$7,985), depending on which version you purchase. The bicycle is stocked by companies such as Sport Gardena.
