Electric Bike Company Model F foldable bicycle launches with 28 mph top speed and USB port

The Electric Bike Company’s Model F e-bike is now available to pre-order. The foldable electric bicycle has a top speed of 28 mph (~45 kph), though its factory settings limit this to 20 mph (~32 kph). You can use the thumb throttle for pure motor power or pedal assistance. A lithium-ion battery provides up to 50 miles (~80 km) range on a single charge. A built-in fan keeps the power pack cool, and the battery comes with a 3.5 A supercharger for fast recharging.

Mounted on the handlebars is a color LCD, showing information such as your speed and the bicycle’s battery level. Whatsmore, the display has a USB output port which you can use to charge your smartphone. The Electric Bike Company claims that the bike’s hydraulic disc braking system is the safest in the world, allowing for single-finger braking. Plus, the bicycle has 24-in x 3-in puncture-resistant tires and double-walled 2-in Jetset rims.

A comfortable seat and grips are fitted to the Model F alongside front and rear lights. The bike weighs 56 lbs (~25 kg) and can support loads up to 300 lbs (~136 kg). You can currently pre-order the Electric Bike Company Model F electric bicycle for US$1,799, saving US$200 off the regular retail price of US$1,999. The bike is due to ship in September and is available in white, black and red.
