Pivot Shuttle LT electric bike launches with 756 Wh battery and USB-C port
The Pivot Shuttle LT electric bike has been unveiled. The bicycle is equipped with a 756 Wh battery, developed in partnership with Shimano, assisting your pedalling for over five hours. According to Pivot, the power pack is housed in the downtube but can be removed in about one minute. The battery fully charges in around five hours or can charge from one to five power bars in about 3.5 hours. Plus, you can use the power pack to charge a gadget like your smartphone on the go via USB-C.
The lightweight Shimano drive system can assist you at speeds up to 20 mph (~25 kph) and deliver up to 85 Nm of torque. The bicycle has three speed modes, which you can select via a thumb shifter; plus, you can adjust these settings in the E-Tube smartphone app.
The e-bike is fitted with 29-in high grip Maxxis Assegai tires, XTR 4-piston brakes, 165-mm travel DW-Link front suspension and a Fox Float X shock. An integrated display sits near the handlebars, displaying your speed and battery charge level.
The Pivot Shuttle LT is available in two colors, Bass Boat Blue and Northern Lights Green, and retails for US$9,899. The top-spec TEAM edition of the new bike costs US$11,999, with various upgrades, including a full carbon frame to make the bike lighter, weighing 49.8 lbs kg (~22.5 kg) in total. It is unclear how much the RIDE model with an aluminum frame weighs.
