Volt has unveiled the 2022 versions of two e-bike models, the Connect and the Regent. Both e-bikes have a new 250 W Bafang motor for a top assistance speed of 15.5 mph (~25.0 kph), and a 504 Wh battery provides a range of over 70 miles (~113 km). Other upgrades to the pedelecs include lockout suspension and styling tweaks.

Volt has updated its Connect and Regent electric bikes for 2022. The new Volt Connect, a hybrid e-bike, is now equipped with the 250 W Bafang M200 motor, assisting you at speeds up to 15.5 mph (~25.0 kph). The Panasonic 504 Wh lithium-ion battery remains unchanged, providing over 70 miles (~113 km) of assistance range and charging in around three to four hours.

Other upgrades include the 27.5-in x 2.0-in Schwalbe hybrid kevlar-lined tires and SR Suntour lockout suspension, stopping the forks from absorbing energy when riding on smooth surfaces. The company has made some style tweaks to the bike frame, with the pedelec weighing 21 kg (~46 lbs) overall.

The 2022 model of the Volt Regent swaps derailleur gears for internal hub gears, with a twist grip throttle for easy gear changes. As with the Connect, the bike has a top speed of 15.5 mph (~25.0 kph) from a Bafang M200 motor and a battery delivering a range of around 70 miles (~113 km). Plus, the bicycle has the same new lockout suspension system as the Connect, and both models retain their Tektro Auriga hydraulic disc brakes.

The Regent is slightly heavier, weighing 21.5 kg (~47.4 lbs), and can support a payload up to 120 kg (~265 lbs), as can the Connect. Tools such as a display to show speed and battery power and Spanninga LED lights are fitted to each model. You can buy the Volt Connect and Regent e-bikes in the UK for £2,499 (~US$2,893.50).
